Come on what's the hold up, why the political notification. Why not release a disc for the 360 as well, then this wouldn't be an issue, or a disk that can write to the hard drive...wait ps3 does that....

You can only download on live for the 360.

Although everyone has a silver membership that's free, but I have no clue if that means you can still purchase things with microsoft points.

something is going up andf we are not being told first the game is delayed overall by at least a year then the UK Ps2 version gets delayed another week & now the 360 version is delayed things dont add up to me

Thank god they still make games for PS2.  I still wish there was another Ratchet and Clank game for PS2 after deadlocked.   Good work Koei! (nonsarcastically)

The Japanese Xbox.com listing has roughly the same notification, but it's addressed from Microsoft themselves, so with that admission it's surely their fault.

What I don't get is why these "operational delays" only seems to affect this as yet another Marketplace update has gone by with other content uploaded and this doesn't appear.

Thanks for the info...personally i'm really starting to hate microsoft, i wish sony would hurry up and get some games out for the PS3, as a matter of fact...why isn't this ported to PS3, that would solve a lot of problems i'm sure.

I'm guessing the only reason it's not out for ps3 is because it came out for the ps2 first.

Well i already bought my Microsoft Points assuming it was going to release on time.  I sure hope this doesnt get cancelled.  So I guess its just faith from here.  *Crosses Fingers*

I doubt at this stage it will be canceled. I just hope release is any day now, but if it becomes a huge delay, we can hope KOEI reconsiders release of the SW2+XL disc outside of Japan. There's already been a number of people stating that they will only buy it as a disc.

As Strategy Informer puts it, this should be an embarrassment for Microsoft after numerous bragging about leading in digital distribution. At least it would if SW2 were more popular and more sites would carry similar stories.
 

Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus was released very similarly as an expansion download based on a disc-based PS2 game and it didn't seem to have any problems.

Yeah but is it because they don't care, being that Koei games aren't as big in the US? They seem to develop a lot more for games like Mass Effect which also has a download coming. There is advertisements and such for ME, but nothing even on Live for the SW2XL.

Its been two days. I think we deserve some news. Even if its just "a few more days". Are we going to have to wait days, weeks, what?

MS dropped the ball on the Marvel Ultimate Alliance DLC too last year. I was hoping this wouldn't be a repeat.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance's DLC delay was more of Activision, Raven, and/or Shaba's fault, because the first patch they provided to prepare for the DLC was jacked up and recalled. Microsoft did have to certify, so I guess they were partially responsible.

With SW2XL Microsoft has taken the blame, but yeah they would probably care more if it had greater potential sales since they get something like a 35% cut (may not be exact, but some have claimed it in the past for other DLC).

well i guess it made sense about the release of yesterday. it was good friday so i guess that gives a good reason
