ROTK has the ROTK series and the Dynasty Tactics series, K4 shouldn't be ROTK based...

Though i wouldn't mind it if it was, i didn't get 2 so 4 if it was ROTK would make up for my loss Wink

Kessen  would be my favorite.

I liked the cutscenes for the attacks. Triple Barrage= Awesomeness.

Kessen III comes in next.

Mainly because it is the prequel of Kessen. I've always wanted a game that centered around Nobunaga (other than the Onimusha games).

Kessen II was a turn off.

I have enough Dynasty Warriors games. Plus, I didn't like the sea battles.

Kessen 3 was my favortie in the sereis, I almost want to say the original because it's the first game I got at launch with my PS2, but III was the best, II was also a good game though don't get me wrong.

The story and cutscenes in 3, along with character models and character's personalities(sp?), are great, but the gameplay's alot like DW/SW. That may be a turn off for some fans.

For me, they go in this order...

Kessen III
Kessen II
Kessen

For me, it seems that they have improved (or taken out) most of the problems as the series has gone on, obviously there will be some constant issues with the game, such as playable characters, graphics etc. But as a whole, each game has been good, but in different ways, for example, Kessen was good in that it allowed alot more in-depth strategy as far as the planning goes, Kessen II provided huge and epic battles which took your breath away and with a couple forcing you to try again and again (Chi Bi or Chang Ban etc.), while Kessen III move away from both of these really, and instead focused more on what the player does off the battle-field, giving a great range of variety of troops, weapons etc., this along with the easy battle controls allowed for a really solid gaming experiance. Despite this however, certain and obvious things are much better in the third installation, graphics, cut-scenes, game length etc.

The only one I have is Kessen III. It's so hard everytime I do a major battle at least 1 or 2 of my generals get owned and withdraw. -.- It's really fun thought. I like hiding behind barrciades and shooting enemies with my rifles. I like the cutscenes and most of all Nobunaga's not evil ruler personality.

I've only played 1 and 2, and 2 was much better because you had magic, an understandable storyline and it was less history more dramatic fun type thing which i like way more than recount city, although the events were roughly based on history so it keeps a plot and i like that, but kessen 2 would have to be my favourite, havn't tried kessen 3 will later but it sounds good

I enjoyed Kessen III enormously even though my CD broke in the middle of Chapter 11 Cry
