*Sighs* good times. In Bo Wan Po for Wei it their anyway to stop wei from running into Zhuge Liang's trap ?

Actually... There is. All you need is to have Red Hare Saddle equipped, Vorpal Orb Level Four, Tiger Amulet, Tortoise Amulet, Secret of the Orbs (Which raises your Orb level by one whole level), Elixir, and Herbal Remedy (Increase power of your charge attacks) . All of these should be at level twenty if possible.

First, you rush forward, don't even think about stopping for anything, you won't need to. Then when you see Zhao Yun, knock him off his horse. Then, commence the pain on him.

As a bonus, make sure your character is at high stats, and you have there Level Ten, or Level Eleven (Possible with Xtreme Legends Combined with Original game) Weapon. Grin

That's how I did it anyway. laugh

Wow, that's ironic. I just decided to bust out my copy of the DW4: Xtreme Legends expansion today, and this is the thread that caught my eye first when scrolling down the forum.

So yeah, I still play it, but only every few months or so. The DW4 era is my least favorite of the six incarnations, so therefore I play it least.

After not playing any pre-DW5 era games for months, I was heavily surprised to find out how often the infantry attacked me, and how much of a danger the officers were. In fact I died (or K.O.'d i you want to get technical) in my first battle coming back.

Just to ask, what made it your least favorite out of all of them?

Sorry for the late reply, don't check his forum often. laugh

I think the main thing with my distaste for it was the weapon leveling system. Having to level up a specific weapon instead of finding one was so tedious, especially since I only had the Xtreme Legends version. Didn't enjoy Xtreme Mode, either, nor the little epilogues at the end of Xtreme Legends' Legend mode which featured a really dark background. That was a bad thing because I prefer brighter backdrops to make seeing easier. There are probablyu many other flaws I've noticed that at this late in time I don't have the energy to remember.

And looking back after Dynasty Warriors 5 was released, it seemed so inferior because DW3 had the nostalgic, undeniable love, and DW5 seemed like the better game.

See that's funny, because in my opinion the weapon leveling system made it the best one to me. And, DW5 was my least favorite, so I guess we are opposite. The darker backgrounds never really bothered me that much, only on one level, and I can't remember which one it was. But that's what I think.

I preferred DW5's weapon system because XL and Empires let you customize the attributes. Quite a few characters have a less than ideal 4th, and they do better with a tricked-out 3rd. In DW4, there's no recourse for a character who gets stuck with useless boosts on their ultimate weapon. You can equip items, but it's still wasted potential. Speaking of which, I dislike the fact that some characters don't get as many item slots than others. (And I especially dislike that Cao Ren got the short end of the stick in both these regards. Way to treat a new guy, KOEI.)

I actually liked how some got more than others. The weaker stat characters got more, and the Lu Bu's got less. It provided drawbacks to using powerful characters all the time.

Yeah man. I broke out XL today and played it. DW4 is so superior to the rest of the series IMO.
